Graphene-Powered Cold Chain Solutions: Boosting the “Last Mile” Delivery with SF Express

NEWSTODAY

Recently, SF Express Cold Transport, in collaboration with the National Graphene Innovation Center, launched a comprehensive “Last Mile” urban cold chain delivery project in cities like Xi’an, Hangzhou, Jinan, and Guangzhou.

SF Express’s electric tricycles equipped with graphene-based modular cold chain turnover boxes can easily navigate narrow roads. Their efficient cooling systems ensure a stable low-temperature environment during transport, making them ideal for delivering meat, fruits, vegetables, seafood, dairy products, vaccines, biological products, and pharmaceuticals.

Technology-Driven Cold Chain Delivery

The graphene-powered modular cold chain turnover box,is a cutting-edge solution combining a built-in cooling system with the box itself. Unlike traditional cold chain vehicles, where the cooling system is split into multiple components,  innovation integrates all parts into one using advanced graphene heat transfer technology and variable frequency control. The key component, a graphene-coated heat exchanger, significantly improves cooling efficiency, reduces energy consumption, and enhances corrosion resistance.

The box’s rotomolded body is rust-resistant and durable, with lower leakage and heat transfer rates compared to similar products, minimizing energy consumption during transportation.

Innovative Cold Chain for Efficient “Last Mile” Delivery

SF Express’s electric tricycles equipped with these graphene-powered cold chain boxes offer fast cooling, stable temperature control, and customizable solutions for cold chain logistics, providing a green and efficient way to deliver temperature-sensitive products.

Expanding Globally, Supporting Green and Low-Carbon Logistics

Beyond domestic pilot programs with SF Express, the graphene cold chain turnover boxes have partnered with vehicle manufacturers like Geely, Wuling, and Jinpeng Group to develop more models for various cold chain needs.

These electric tricycles, featuring graphene modular cold chain boxes, have already been exported to countries like Indonesia and Brazil, playing a key role in refrigerated deliveries for services such as food delivery. Recently, a partnership was signed with Bangladesh’s E.B Solution Limited to build solar-powered, battery-driven cold chain logistics systems, reducing food waste and lowering carbon emissions caused by improper cold chain transportation.
